Coffee fun-times is just that, having fun with coffee! Together, with hands on practical experience, Lisa, CCC Training Manager (certified Educator & Q-Grader) will share great brewing technique and understanding for all at home followed by diving into the world of coffee growing origins and how coffee comes to our doors + have a hand at sample roasting coffee all for yourself to brew and play with!
5-hours, coffee packed training and sampling facilitated at Collingwood Coffee College plus lunch included at Proud mary Cafe.
1. Brewing coffee at home using V60 pourover, Aeropress, Plunger & Clever Coffee Dripper.
2. A tour taking you through the process of sourcing quality coffee from around the world, coffee cultivation and how all of this can impact the flavour of your coffee.
3. Roasting coffee to encourage tastiness and,
4. Brewing take 2 - with your roasted coffee samples!
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? Tram #86 runs regularly to Smith Street Collingwood. Stop 18 Hodgson Street is a quick walk across the road, down Stanley Street, past Proud Mary Cafe to Wellington Street. Proud Mary Coffee Roasters (and Aunty Peg's) is across the road to your right on Wellington St.
Active parking meters are available all day on Wellington Street. $3.80 per hour or across the road it can be $10.00 per day. Parking meters are payable by coins on the spot or parking on Stanley St you can download 'pay by phone' app and use direct debit.
What can I wear?
You can wear anything comfortable and warm. it get's cold here! It is important that you wear enclosed shoes as this is required in the production area where the majority of training will take place.
