About this event
Girls and boys aged 5-15 from the City of Melton can join a range of free, self-paced robotics, coding and tech challenges, specifically designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration. Guided by the Western BACE STEM Squad, participants will have access to expert support and robotics kits provided by the Western BACE STEM Lending Library.
Led by Western BACE's STEM squad, participate in this challenge and be in with the chance to win a prize. Challenge sessions will run from Monday 17 Jan - Friday 21 Jan as per allocated time.
Coding using Python is a wonderful introduction to both fundamental programming ideas and python programming language. It’s the perfect first language for boys and girls of all ages to learn the basics of software development by completing interactive coding challenges. Delivered online this challenge is designed to complete at home at children own pace with support from the Western BACE STEM Squad.
Who is this challenge suitable for?
- Girls and boys ages 9-13, must have participated in Western BACE coding challenge using “scratch” and or experience coder.
- At the end of the program, children will have a chance to submit their work and go in the running to win robotic kit.
- Limited number of spots available for this school holiday challenges. Participants from the City of Melton will have first priority.
This program is proudly supported by the City of Melton Libraries Team, if oversubscribed priority will be given to Parents and Kids residing in the City of Melton.
