We believe Coding is the next layer of Literacy!
We meet on Saturdays between 2 PM and 4 PM at Balmain Library
Get a ticket for each session that you will attend. Book all 7 if you want, but space is limited so if you know you won’t be able to make it, please make space for another.
CoderDojo Ninjas (children 7-17) - join us to release your inner super powers.
Choose a project, and we will work together to make the magic happen!
CoderDojo Parents - we need you here!
All children attending CoderDojo MUST have a parent or guardian with them.
Things to bring:
- your imagination and enthusiasm
- your laptop
- your project buddies
- your parent or guardian (this is a must!)
As a tip, bring along a snack and something to drink - being creative will make you hungry.
Be sure to book tickets for both children and parents!
CoderDojo is a global network of volunteer-led, independent, community based programming clubs for young people aged 7 - 17.
We all share the ethos of CoderDojo Global. Read about it here: CoderDojo Charter.
There is no typical Dojo and the activities run vary from club to club, but we all show young people how to code and develop software, we encourage learning by discovery, we explore technology, we work with others and we present what we've learned to each other.
As always thanks to our sponsor: Balmain Library a part of Inner West (formerly Leichhardt) Council

In the words of CoderDojo
CoderDojo is a global network of volunteer-led, independent, community based programming clubs for young people. These young people, between 7 and 17, learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology. In addition to learning to code attendees meet like minded people and get to show off what they’ve been working on.
There is a focus on community, peer learning, youth mentoring and self led learning with an emphasis on openness, helping others and showing how coding is a force for change in the world. CoderDojo makes development and learning to code a fun, sociable, kick ass experience.
