Event description

Description

Do you sometimes question your own success? Do you worry that there’s likely to be someone more experienced or qualified to do your job? If so, you’re not alone.

Imposter syndrome: noun 1. a false and sometimes crippling belief that one's successes are the product of luck or fraud rather than skill.

Feeling like you aren't reasonably qualified for the work you're doing or that you'll be discovered as a fraud is common for women in tech. If you're feeling this way, you're not alone! But we didn't 'just get lucky'. We're good at what we do and we deserve our successes. So how do we ditch the doubt and take ownership of our wins?

In October, Code Like a Girl will be exploring imposter syndrome and how to overcome it. Come along to hear some first-hand experiences of women kicking arse in tech! After some inspiring storytelling, you'll have a chance to share your own experiences with your female coding cohorts and learn how to identify and unlearn the kinds of imposter thoughts that can stand in between you and your goal. And you know it wouldn't be a CLG event without a spread of drinks and tasty treats!

Join us for an inspiring evening of storytelling and sharing with like-minded coders, and put the conviction back in your career.
