Discover new and superior ways to be the best coach you can be!

This one-day workshop will pull back the curtains and help you develop skills that most courses don’t teach. The best way to achieve success is through clever coaching! And the good news is that it’s not really rocket science, but there are a few key elements you must know to help engage, motivate and improve your athlete’s performance.
You must understand the skills and tactics to ensure continual growth. Coaching is like the dial on radio, so let’s turn the volume up, so your athletes can hear you!

Coaching to Influence is a popular one-day intensive workshop where you will discover the steps to make your coaching stand out from the crowd, achieve the results you desire and add more skills to your coaching toolbox.

The following topics will be covered in the workshop:

  1. Coaching For Success - Great coaches can take an athlete’s natural ability to another level, by developing a mindset within them that drives consistently better performances. Great coaches know how to apply appropriate feedback and engagement techniques to stimulate their growth and ultimately improved performances.

  2. Faster, Higher and Mentally Stronger - Using Neuroscience to improve performance, recover from wins and losses. How to give feedback and communication to improve both skills and performance. Learn about the different attentional focus states. Coaches suffer from pressure just like athletes, the bigger the event, the more intense the stress may become. Learn the major stressor, know the triggers and how to apply coping mechanisms. Includes sorting personal issues, and being prepared for the event. Learn how to change your emotions and show confidence when needed, through body language, mood control and communication. Some athletes can create challenges, especially with increased pressure, often we need to deal with athletes that we know little about or they are first time team members. Learn effective communications skills to both influence and create high performance relationships. The power of the pause in managing ‘heated situations’ and a better understanding conflict situations.

  3. Aiming For Excellence - It’s fundamental and important part of sporting environment that everyone with a vested interest collaborates to ensure each athlete can achieve their own excellence, no matter what their aim. Understand how to implement and improve collaboration, by learning the skills needed to collaborate effectively. Create an environment and culture worth belonging to.
