Event description

Description

It is important that the staff of health and community services are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to work in collaboration with consumers and community members.

Health Issues Centre offers a three-hour workshop on how to work with consumers in the initial stages of development of a project or program. The workshop will provide the tools and activity sheets to practice engaging consumers. This will help staff return to their health services and organisations more informed when working with consumers.

What will the workshop cover?

  • Key Definitions
  • Benefits and Principles of Co-Production
  • Barriers to Co-Production
  • Tools for Co-Production
  • Implementation Processes

When is the workshop?

Wednesday, 9 May from 9:30 until 12:30 at Health Issues Centre.

Health Issues Centre is located at 1/255 Bourke Street, Melbourne.

How much is the workshop?

The workshop is $350 + GST for individuals.

If you would like to register as a group, the first ticket will be $350 + GST, and any additional registration will cost $200 + GST.

What do past participants say?

Renee – a Youth Worker at a health service – says “I now understand the principles of co-production. I can see that we need to start working with the community from the beginning and why we need to do that. We shouldn’t wait until the program has already been designed and then ask for feedback. I will use the resource sheets that we received and go through them step-by-step in my work”
