Description

An intensive and tailored day of professional development for new, experienced or future directors and managers of co-operatives.

Topics covered include: The Co-operative Principles and Values, The Co-operative National Law and Regulations, Directors' Roles and Responsibilities, Good Governance Principles and Conduct, Conflicts of Interest, Effective Board Meetings, Co-operative Financial Statements and Reporting.

Learn and network with other co-operative leaders in THE program specific to co-operatives. All materials and, of course, tea, coffee and lunch are included.

Presenter Sam Byrne FAICD is the Secretary of Co-ops NSW and co-author of Co-operatives in Australia: A Manual (all participants receive a copy of the second edition published in 2017).

Co-ops NSW (nsw.coop) is a not-for-profit membership-based peak body supporting, promoting and representing co-operatives and the co-operative enterprise model.
