About this Event

The theme of this year's two day conference is: 'Leveraging Critical Impact through Collaboration'.

A full program will be circulated once finalised. Speakers currently include:

- Opening Address: Professor Ian Anderson AO, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student and university experience), Australian National University

- Director of CNTA Emeritus Professor Nic Peterson (Conference theme)

- Keynote Speaker: Justice Debbie Mortimer (title TBC)

- Kevin Keefe: "Making things right?” Case studies in collaboration and conflict since the Mabo decision.

- Jan Bowe (Bendelta): The Bigger Picture - Making sense of what I do

- Small group Q & A with Jill D’ Orso (Mining Council) ; Chris Fewings (NNTT); Ophelia Rubinich (AIATSIS); Belinda Burbidge (NNTC)

- Kevin Smith (Chair NNTC) - Native Title and Closing the Gap

- David Trigger – Issues and challenges in compensation research

- David Evans – Goverance Issues for Trusts

- Managers' Panel

- Tegan Scott – Preparing for Compensation

- Ian Sweeney: Working with big money in Aboriginal led development

There will also be an opportunity to attend the UQ Anthropology Museum. Further details to follow.

A conference dinner will be held in the evening, Thursday 4 February. Venue and details to be confirmed.
