About this event

Why Should I Do This Newborn Workshop BEFORE The Birth?

The reality is that there can be many challenges you could face on your new journey. Ignoring the possibility that things may not go smoothly can lead to great disappointment if you do face difficulties.

By doing a class that prepares you for the reality of the difficulties that you could face, you will be much more prepared to manage those difficulties.

**Between 30 – 32 weeks is the ideal time to do this program**

It isn’t too close to the end of your pregnancy, but it is close enough for you to remember all the information for when baby does arrive.

What Is The Agenda For The Event?

The full agenda for the day is emailed to you after you enrol for the workshop. Topics we cover include:

  • Breastfeeding Thoroughly Explained
  • Understanding Infant Sleep
  • Emotional Adjustment For Parents

PLUS – You will also receive a FREE pre birth breastfeeding assessment to troubleshoot any problems or concerns

Should My husband / Partner Attend?

Yes! the quickest and easiest way to help your husband/partner get on the same page as you is to attend the workshop together.

Not only will this make him your very first supporter, but he will also have a sense of belonging and purpose when feeding or sleep time comes around.

What if I Register & My baby Is Born Before The Workshop?

This situation has occurred as babies do not always follow our agenda. If your baby arrives before the workshop, Wendy will gift you a free private post natal visit. So you don’t miss out on anything important.

Will this Course Be Worth My Time & Money?

Absolutely! Parents who waited until after their baby was born say they wish they got this information before the baby arrived, as it would have relieved a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety on both the parents and the baby.

Who Is Wendy Pratt and Baby Assist?

Wendy Pratt, formerly a neo-natal intensive care nurse is a breastfeeding and infant sleep specialist with more than 35 years experience.

Baby Assist is a compassionate and realistic approach to infant sleep & feeding for new parents in the Albury / Wodonga region

What Research Is the Program Content Based On?

Wendy brings over 35 years of experience working with babies and their parents helping with infant feeding and sleep, including many years in Special Care Nursery working with premature babies learning to feed.

An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant for the past 10 years – requiring over 100 hours of study and over 2000 hours of breastfeeding experience to be eligible to write the exam as well as holding a Certificate in Intensive Care of the Newborn.

Wendy constantly is engaging in ongoing study and attendance at conferences and courses to stay up to date with the current information surrounding infant feeding and sleep.

Why Did You Create this Course?

As a lactation & sleep consultant Wendy meets so many parents who are totally blindsided by either a difficult breastfeeding journey or a baby who seems to want to stay up all night!

Months are usually spent preparing and fantasizing about the birth of their precious baby, only to find themselves totally unprepared for what comes after that!

Wendy developed this course to help parents think beyond the birth and be prepared for what lies ahead. Knowing what to expect is the first step in being able to take care of yourself and your baby with confidence.

How Many People In Each Workshop?

Online workshop we cap it at 12 so Wendy can answer all your questions throughout the day in detailAs there are very limited places it is a good idea to book now!
