Event Details

Curtin AHEAD invites you to the inaugural Clontarf to Curtin Rowing Regatta community event. Over the past few months, Curtin University staff and volunteers have helped guide Clontarf Aboriginal College students through an intensive academic mentoring and State level rowing program. The project’s aim was to offer Indigenous students greater access to higher education opportunities and to break down barriers to participation in elite sports such as rowing.

The regatta will mark the culmination of the hard work of those involved and will celebrate the incredible achievements of the students who have led the way by forming Clontarf’s first rowing squad. Members of local rowing squads will join with students from Clontarf to form the crews that will compete in the event as a sign of solidarity and celebration among the Perth rowing community.

The regatta will be a family friendly event with a range of food stalls, live entertainment and the opportunity to try out your rowing skills.
