Join Professor Melissa Grady, Editor-in-Chief of the Clinical Social Work Journal, in a free online webinar exploring clinical social work roles, the licensing challenges, and exactly how to succeed in professional and academic publishing.
This webinar is best suited for graduate researchers; however, industry partners, department staff, and current students with an interest in this topic are also welcome to join us.
Furthermore, PhD candidates who want to connect with peers from around the world are invited to stay online after Prof Grady’s presentation, which will conclude at 3.15. This is followed by an online meet-and-greet coordinated by the Peer-to-Peer PhD group.

This talk by Melissa D. Grady, PhD, Editor-in-Chief of the Clinical Social Work Journal, will discuss the definitions and challenges of clinical social work in the United States. She will review licensing and credentialing, as well as the various roles that clinical social workers have in the US.
This conversation will include how these challenges impact the publication process for clinical material, and she will provide an insider's guide to publishing in an academic/professional journal. Prof Grady will review the publishing process and offer some recommendations on how to further develop this skill set. This talk will greatly benefit those interested in developing a deeper understanding of how to succeed in academic and professional publishing.
