Aim of Program: To support staff with the knowledge and awareness required identify and respond to vulnerable children

Program Structure: This session will enable participants to:

  • Identify children at risk
  • Respond to keep children safe
  • Report incidents of child abuse and neglect under ‘mandatory reporting’ and ‘reportable conduct scheme’

Program Outline:

  • Theoretical context regarding children at risk
  • Resources to support clinical staff and supervisors in responding to children at risk
  • Practical examples to assist staff to apply learnings to their clinical area

Program Eligibility: Suitable for nurses, midwives, medical, allied health and all clinical staff

Program Duration: 1 hour
