The environment needs your help! Learn how climate change is affecting our plants and wildlife. Join this guided walk and help monitor the biodiversity in the Melbourne Gardens. Learn how climate change is affecting our plants and wildlife and collect valuable data for EarthWatch. Don’t forget to download the ClimateWatch app beforehand.

Meeting point:

Please meet at the Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre is located at Gate O, Observatory Plaza on Birdwood Avenue.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Located at Birdwood Avenue, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria at Melbourne Gardens is approximately two kilometres from Melbourne's city centre.

Tram:

Parking

Street metered car parking for up to four hours is generally easy to find close to entry gates. Please note that parking conditions vary according to nearby events. The City of Melbourne enforces parking restrictions in the area. Disabled parking bays are marked on the Gardens Map.

Cycling

Designated bicycle paths along the Yarra River and Melbourne CBD lead to Melbourne Gardens. Please note that riding of bicycles in the gardens is not permitted. Dedicated bicycle parking is available at Observatory Gate.
