About this event
Learn how to help protect your family from impacts of extreme weather.
Learn how to bring your family and community along on our journey to act on climate change.
Join us for this two-part training and learn about local climate impacts, ways to avoid the worst of them and how to get your community ready.
We all have friends and family who aren't across climate change, learn how to have those difficult conversations from a different angle.
This training is held over two days so please come along to both Saturday 19th & 26th June.
People from all backgrounds, including culturally & linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to participate.
The training workshops include:
- introduction to climate adaptation
- climate conversations guide
- champions' action toolkit
- action planning and next steps
- meeting other likeminded people in your neighbourhood
- plus more ideas, resources, networking and events!
$15 per person for 2 sessions.

Sessions limited to maximum 15 people - registration essential.
Please contact us if you can no longer attend.
Some light refreshments will be provided but please bring along your own lunch to eat in the break.
A COVID-19 Safe plan will be in place for the sessions. If you are unwell at the time of the session, please do not attend.
This project is supported by AdaptWest - Cities of Charles Sturt, Pt Adelaide Enfield and West Torrens. This event is open to people who live, work & play in these Council areas of Adelaide's western & inner-northern suburbs.
