Join us for a day of music, arts + innovation!
Featuring live music, DJs, creative upcycling, art installations, quilting, yoga, outdoor cinema, games and more.
Program of events
Let's get physical!
- 8:30 am - Mindfulness workshop (incl. free meditation and yoga session). (At the giant Teepee)
- All day – Let the games begin (giant Jenga, Connect 4, adult jumping castle, and more)
- 10:30 am – Upcycled small space vertical gardens – learn how to make your own vertical gardens from recycled green bags. (At the giant Teepee)
- 10:30 am - e-reuse workshop – watch, learn and participate as your fellow students teach you how top repurpose old broken laptops (inside MCIC)
- 12:45 pm – Prepare your costume for the end of semester Halloween party, tools and materials available for your use

- 10:00 am, 11:30am - Massive outdoor cinema begins - screening 1 of Chasing Ice (lawn outside E10)
- All day - Dome screenings begin – our planet like you’ve never seen it before
- All day - Live art begins – check out iconic artist Mulga produce a one-off tribute to climate change action
- All day - Igloo construction – watch as our team build a video recording igloo to send messages of support to climate talks in Paris. Record your message!
- 11:30 am – Which UNSW students will win a trip to Paris climate talks? Come along as they pitch their climate change solutions to find out! (MCIC)
- 12:30 pm, 2:45 pm - MCIC tour – your chance to check out the new Michael Crouch Innovation Centre. Every student must see this facility!
Foodtruck Feeds
- 10:30 am – City of Sydney Foodtrucks arrive – have your tastebuds bought to life with delightful treats from the Vegepatch and Agape Organics (lawn outside E10)
Main Stage (Lawn outside E10)
- 1:00 pm - Opening address – our main stage opens and we celebrate why we are all together (lawn outside E10)
- 1:10 pm – Live DJ Mowgli May takes to the stage
- 1:50 pm – Winners of banner competition announced (stage)
- 3:10 pm - Rhythm Hunters – Epic six piece drumming fusion group. A must see!
- 4:30 pm - Sons of the East – Australia’s own! These guys are making global waves and will put on a show not to be missed. The perfect end to semester!
Brought to you as part of the UNSW Grand Climate Challenge, a series of events + activities that lead up to COP21 (The Paris Climate Change Conference) in November, where the world will ask; can we keep global warming below 2°C?
