Event description
Learn how to build climate change resilience in your garden

About this Event

Climate change adaption involves taking practical actions to manage the risks associated with climate change. Trees and green spaces help mitigate the urban heat island effect, a phenomenon that results in city areas being up to 8 degrees C hotter than surrounding rural areas. The aim of these workshops is to build climate change resilience in your garden. Sabrina will be talking about ways in which we can improve soil health; the importance of appropriate plant selection; the importance of creating upper level tree canopy to increase shading; ways to help plants cope with disease and pests; and improving irrigation design
