Climate Café: Climate Change - What You Can Do
Climate change is such a big challenge that it can feel overwhelming. It's easy to feel powerless, but that doesn't mean there's nothing you can do.
Come and hear from one of Australia's leading climate change advocates about how you can use your social power, consumer power and political power to make an impact to the biggest challenge facing our generation.
Anna will give a short presentation and participants will then break into small groups to discuss:
- How could academic institutions like ANU change to more directly help Australia tackle climate change?
- How do we encourage other students and staff to feel empowered to act, overcoming feelings of powerlessness and hopelessness?
- How can we personally juggle the different roles and demands of being both analysts (students, academics) and activists?
