Join us for an end of year celebration of achievements in climate adaptation in South Australia and a chance for you to network with climate change practitioners, experts, policy makers and regional leaders.

Refreshments will be provided. RSVP by Thursday, 16th November 2017.

The event will coincide with the Prosperity in a Changing Climate symposium presented by Climate Change Services Australia and supported by the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources. We encourage you to view the program and register to attend.

Thursday November 23: Prosperity in a changing climate

Australia’s diverse climate change services sector will converge in Adelaide to explore how suppliers, researchers and policy makers can collaborate and create opportunity locally and overseas.

Delegates will hear insights from Resilient Melbourne, South Australian adaptation regions, the Outback Communities Authority, Red Cross, CSIRO, NCCARF and the Investor Group on Climate Change, Department of Environment Land, Water and Planning (Vic), Climate-KIC Australia, Resilient Hills and Coast, Resilient South and Adelaide University.

A theme throughout the day will be sharing adaptation practices that cross over between sectors, tracking innovation in adaptation and resilience, and exploring Australian skills through an international lens. See more program detail and register here to attend the symposium.

Friday November 24: Community-Owned Renewable Energy

For those looking into models for community-owned energy projects, there is an opportunity to attend a master class on financial models for projects. This workshop is presented by Frontier Impact Group with support from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and will provide:

  • tools to help community renewable projects to get off the ground more quickly with sound economic and environmental outcomes

  • an in-depth understanding of the Community Renewable Energy Toolkit to guide you in developing a community solar project.

Free for Councils and their community groups, but registrations essential. See more information and register to attend the masterclass.
