Description

This is the annual NSW & ACT Regional Conference for the Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) on Sunday 24th June starting at 11am and finishing 5.30pm. All are welcome to attend. For those who are interested in lobbying at Parliament House Canberra on Monday there will be lobbying training starting 6.30pm Sunday after dinner. The conference draft agenda includes presentations on the following topics:

  • Citizens' Climate Lobby overview and progress in the US and Australia
  • Politics of climate change in Australia and achieving our Paris Agreement commitments - Dr John Hewson
  • Current initiatives with the National Electricity Market and integration of Renewable Electricity - Prof Andrew Blakers
  • Health effects of Fossil Fuels as a driver of political change - Dr Darshini Heaney and Dr Kim Loo
