Surfrider Foundation Australia's Sunshine Coast branch is once again hosting the epic bi-annual clean up & camping weekend on the beaches of 'Double Island'. Come help out and hang out with a few hundred like minded and passionate people, who are keen to keep this paradise clean now and into the future.
Every 6 months we pick up an average of 2 tonnes of rubbish and marine debris! With the record in May 2017 of 3.5T!!
From Noosa North Shore to Double Island Point and around to Rainbow, unfortunately there's no shortage of it. Sign up and make a difference to the oceans, waves and beaches you love.

WHAT'S INVOLVED
Free Registration for the Beach Camping courtesy of Parks and Wildlife.
- Beach Clean Up
- Sorting and databasing
- Bring the family, bring your mates. Have a great time over 3 days.

FUN AND ACTIVISM

- Massive prizes from our partners to be won and giveaways, just for volunteering!
- Raffles, Kids games and competitions.
- Educational presentation and displays.
- FREE BBQ Saturday (20th) around 4pm arvo.
- BYO guitars, drums etc for music by campfire. Please feel free to bring firewood from home if you like!

- Plan your weekend or day trip/s. We can organise transport if you do not have a 4 x 4. Limited though.

REGISTER NOW
Registration is FREE and simple.
Click the REGISTER button and fill in your details and sign the waiver. It's that simple. Your details will be logged straight into the database. All volunteers gain fee exempt 4x4 and camping under our permit and we send the details to QPWS. The Rangers on the beach, will then have your Reggo, and there will be no problemo!

WHAT THEN?
You'll get a confirmation, and we'll send out an info sheet with all details to your email address in the weeks before the clean up. One of the Surfrider Staff will ring you, to see which area you may like to clean up, so you may "Hog" that section of Beach. if you do not have a favourite place to clean, we can suggest one for you!

Sign on for Registrants, will be at the Barge at Mooroondil Ferry, as you hop on the Barge. That way, you can scoot to your piece of Paradise. Events then start back at Base on Saturday, 35k's up the Beach, (You will see us!) for fun and frivolity! Bag returns, weigh ins, and sorting starts around 3.00on on Saturday
