The Instituto Cervantes in Sydney will offer a classic guitar concert performed by Gian Marco Ciampa at its new auditorium: Biblioteca Gabriela Mistral.
He will be interpreting a programme called “Mediterranean Strings” consisting on the following pieces by recognized authors:
Francisco Tarrega/Joaquim Malats - Preludio y Serenata Española
Alexander Tansman - Variations sur un Theme de Scriabin
Francisco Tarrega - Endecha y Oremus & Fantasia sui temi de "La Traviata"
Agustin Barrios - Confesion
Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco - Capriccio Diabolico
Roland Dyens - Tango en Skai
Gian Marco Ciampa was born in Rome in 1990. After studying with high-calibre teachers such as Bruno Battisti d’Amario, Fabrizio Verile, Fernando Lepri and Celestino Dionisi, he graduated with top marks , distinction and honor mention with M° Arturo Tallini from “Santa Cecilia” Conservatoire in Rome. Since he was very young Gian Marco has played concerts at important venues and festivals all over Italy and abroad. Ciampa has been awarded with “Golden Guitar 2014” and with the "Gold Medal of President of Italian Republic". He also toured around Asia, U.S.A. and Europe in 2014-2015 with great success, performing and holding Masterclasses at first class places.He also teaches classical end electric guitar and is the founder and creator of the "SUPERNOVA", an ensemble of guitars consisting of 8 young Italian guitarists winners of international competitions.
Gian Marco will tour Australia for one month with 10 concerts and 3 masterclasses in Conservatories in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Gosford.
