Event description

Description

It's on again! The Art Crawl is the best way to see fabulous galleries and exhibitions across the Clarence during the plunge Arts & Culture festival. Taking you from Grafton to Yamba and back again the comfortable coach departs Grafton at 9am and will be hosted by Yamba Historical Society's Marea Buist. The Art Crawl gives you the chance share in some wonderful experiences as our gallery hosts and artists share their stories and inspiration at each stop along the way. Return for a special artist’s event at the Grafton Regional Gallery and join us for a much deserved cup of tea or glass of wine and grazing platters.

Flow Space and Gallery: This is the first commercial venture by young local artist Kate Valja and his friends. You may have seen their work under the Grafton Bridge or in other street art around Grafton. We are excited to have the group as part of the plunge festival this year with several workshops and exhibitions.

Coldstream Gallery: The Coldstream Gallery has the widest selection of artists available in the Clarence and are passionate supporters of local artists with a unique selection of art and handmade gifts available. Whilst in Ulmarra you can check out the other wonderful creative shops and galleries, you'll definitely want to go back.

Cowper Gallery: Meet local artist Harry Westera and view his new show 'Colours of the Clarence' at this charming gallery and studio in the village of Cowper on Woodford Island. This exhibition also includes several still life oil paintings and the gallery has a collection of ceramics and gifts made by local artists.

Ferry Park Gallery. Home of the Lower Clarence Arts & Craft Association, Ferry Park will have the annual 8x8 exhibition showing during plunge. With the theme of 'The Journey' artists have been invited to create works within the confines of a small supplied canvas in any medium.

The Old Kirk at Yamba Museum: An exhibition of creative needle arts including 'Threaded Connections' on loan from the Lismore Regional Gallery. Almost 5 meters long with 5 separate panels this piece was created by members of the Lismore Embroiders Guild. The exhibition which opens that evening also includes a display from local stitchers.

Grafton Regional Gallery. View the exhibitions on show at the gallery including HEADwaters and Bike Town both showcasing local artists. As a special treat the Gallery will present a forum with the HEADwaters artists who will share the inspirations and stories behind their work including time for questions and conversations.
