The annual civil society Dialogue on Women, Peace and Security is taking place on 13th October 2016.
The Dialogue will once again invite conversations between government and civil society about the implementation of UN Resolution 1325 through Australia’s National Action Plan (NAP).
The fourth Dialogue comes after an independent interim review into Australia’s progress on the NAP as well as the Global Study into the implementation of resolution 1325.
The program this year will follow the themes of looking back, looking around and Looking forward. The day will begin with a government response to the interim review, before moving on to look at two case studies, we will then have an interactive session on emerging issues in the WPS space in the afternoon. The final session in the program is designated to the report card and looking towards the next NAP. A full program will be shared prior to the event.
