How do I register?

Book online via Eventbrite. Pick your session, add tickets, and check out. Your e-ticket arrives by email. Have it ready on your phone at entry.

What are the ticket types and prices?

Child 3-12, Adult 13+, Kids 2 & under free. Workshops and VIP sessions are ticketed separately. Prices vary by date and session.

Can I get a refund or change my date?

Accepted Answer

Refunds are unfortunately not possible, however date changes are. You can also transfer tickets to another eligible guest. For help, message us via the Eventbrite event page.

Where is the venue?

The Garden Gallery, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. Allow extra time to enter the Gardens and follow event signage to the venue.

How do I get there and is parking available?

Public transport is recommended. Limited parking options exist around the CBD. The Domain Car Park (https://www.wilsonparking.com.au/parking-locations/new-south-wales/sydney-cbd/the-domain-car-park/) is closest. Use promo code: KIDWONDER2025 to enjoy 20% off Flexi rates on the day of your session.

Is the venue accessible and pram-friendly?

Yes. The venue is indoors with step-free routes. Pram parking is available. Mobility devices are welcome. Accessible restrooms are available within the Gardens precinct.

When are sessions and how long do they run?

Accepted Answer

Open Fri 19 Dec 2025 - Sat 31 Jan 2026. Sessions run across the day from 10:00am with the last session concluding at 4:00pm. Sessions typically last 60+ minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes before your start time.

Will City of Wonder be open on public holidays?

City of Wonder will be closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. We’ll be open on Boxing Day and Australia Day. Please note: some public holidays may have limited sessions and shorter trading hours.

What age is it for? Do kids need supervision?

Designed for kids 3+. Under-18s must attend with a supervising ticketed caregiver. Kids under 3 enter free.

What will we do there?

Build with 75,000 recycled-plastic Wonder Planks, explore preserved wildflower meadows, discover STEM and craft stations, and take on creative building challenges.

Are there workshops or VIP sessions?

Yes. Wonder Workshops and VIP Artist Experiences with artist Raffaele Salvoldi run on select dates. These require separate tickets. See the schedule for availability.

Is food and drink available?

Food and drinks aren't sold at the event. The Leaf Dept. Cafe at The Calyx, a short stroll away, has you covered. Please note: no outside food or drink may be brought in, and no food may be consumed inside the exhibition.

What should we wear or bring?

Wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes for building (a light layer can help in air-conditioned spaces). Please remember your e-ticket.

Yes. We welcome schools, vacation care, and group visits. Capacity is limited. Contact us via Eventbrite messages for session holds and group rates.

Is the event weather-proof?

Yes. It's an all-weather, indoor experience. Sessions proceed in rain or shine.
