City of Playford Australia Day 2021
Event Information
About this Event
In 2021 our Australia Day festivities have moved to X Convenience Oval, Elizabeth – home of the Doggies.
You can still expect some of your Australia Day favourites with FREE rides and popular entertainers who represent our diverse community performing throughout the day.
This year we are embracing our sporting location with an opportunity to have a go at netball, tennis and of course Australian rules football.
Playford’s Australia Day festivities will celebrate our people and multicultural values featuring local entertainment and our Australia Day Awards recognising the City’s heroes.
This event will be held in accordance with SA Health directions and has an approved COVID Management Plan in place. COVID Marshals will be in attendance.
This is the first time we are delivering a COVID safe event of this size. So please be patient with us while check everyone in and be aware that you will need to line-up prior to entry.
Ticketing
Bookings are essential and tickets must be booked online prior to the event. Tickets are free of charge with up to 10 tickets available per group. When booking, we encourage you to book tickets as a group (e.g. family, social group) in the one transaction so that we can identify you as a family or social group at the event. If you do not have access to the internet our friendly Customer Care team will register you, contact them on 8256 0333. This ticketing process is necessary for the purpose of contact tracing. Walk-up ticket bookings will only be available if ticket allocations are not exhausted prior to the event.
Arrival and Contact Tracing
There will be two entry points to the event - Goodman Road and Langford Drive. There may be queues to enter the event - if queues do form, there will be 1.5m markers on the ground to encourage social distancing between groups.
Every person who enters the event site will need to complete the South Australian Government's COVID SAfe Check-In, accessed via QR code on arrival and have their tickets scanned on entry. In order to scan the QR code, you can use the mySA Gov app or the camera on your smartphone. If you do not have a smartphone, there will be paper contact tracing forms available.
Food
There will be a free barbecue breakfast provided. While registering you will need to select your barbecue breakfast time. You will have a 30-minute window in which you will be able to collect your food. This is to prevent any congestion at the barbecue, reduce wait times for food and to make sure we deliver a COVID safe event. If queues do form, there will be 1.5m markers on the ground to encourage social distancing between groups.

Coffee and soft drinks will be available for purchase and you will be able to fill your own bottles up with water provided.
