Locals say that our hills are home to the spirits of Mason and Bird’s timber mill workers, who built a thriving community in Orange Grove in the 1860’s.

Find out for yourself when you experience the City of Gosnells popular annual Ghost Walks.

Come along and enjoy a fully guided 5.5km moonlit walk along a well-marked bush track from the historic Victoria Dam to the Bickley Reservoir in the Orange Grove Hills.

Along the way, you will explore the history of the Mason and Bird Timber Mill Company and the bustling community that thrived in the area over 150 years ago.

You might even get to meet some of the locals from yesteryear!

Ghost Walk Times

Each Ghost walk is run on the Friday night closest to the full moon.

The Tour Times are:

• 7.00pm

• 7.15pm

• 7.30pm

• 7.45pm

Tour Numbers

Each tour group can accommodate a maximum of 30 people (Total of 120 people per night).

Ticketing

$25 Adults plus booking fee

$10 Children plus booking fee

There are no concessions.

Tour Length, terrain and safety

• It is essential that participants bring their own water and water bottle.• Participants must arrive 20 minutes before their allocated tour time.• Tours start at Hardinge Road picnic area.• The tour is about 5.5km long and takes around 3 hours to complete.• Trails WA rate this trail as 'Grade 3'. • The trail is through bushland with short steep hills, steps, rough surfaces, uneven ground and gravel.• People with heart complications are not recommended to take the tour.• The trail is recommended for children over the age of 10 years.• Covered hiking shoes are a requirement (Court shoes and flat soled shoes are not permitted).• Prams / strollers are not permitted.• Animals are not permitted.• The trail does not have wheelchair access and is not recommended for people with mobility issues.• On return from your walk we will supply a light supper with tea and coffee.• This is an alcohol free smoke free event • Refunds are subject to the City of Gosnells refund policy.• Booking fees are strictly non-refundable.
