Our overarching theme for Pride at La Trobe this year is ‘Visible against Violence’. While it is extremely important to celebrate the LGBTIQA+SB community and honouring the past, we also want to acknowledge that there is a way to go to ensure the elimination of violence amongst the queer community. We know from the National Student Safety Survey in 2022 that members of the LGBTIQA+SB community experience disproportionally high rates of violence in the university context. Learn a bit about why this is, and how we can all help to create the change needed to stop this from happening. Unite with La Trobe to create a safer and more inclusive La Trobe community for everyone.
