Join us for a fun and interactive Citizen Science Family Workshop designed for families with children aged 6 years and over.
Learn how to become a citizen scientist right in your own neighbourhood and help protect local biodiversity.

- A fascinating introduction to citizen science - how it works and why it matters
- Inspiring stories - including amazing discoveries by kids!
- How citizen science supports biodiversity research and informs knowledge of local flora and fauna
- Hands on activities
- Explore local observations and learn how to upload your observations
- and so much more!
You'll enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities in this session – so don’t forget to bring a hat and water bottle!
A smart device such as an iPad or phone are recommended so that you can record images of your environment and learn how to upload your findings to the citizen science websites. One device per family is recommended.
