Event description

Description

Come and join us as we acknowledge dedicated landholders involved in the City of Logan's Conservation Incentives Program (CIP). The annual CIP Celebration Day is a fun and educational event where community members learn about local plants and animals and gain practical skills in land management and environmental conservation.

The theme for CIP Day 2019 is Habitat Connections; honouring the significant role of wildlife friendly backyards in the protection and enhancement of nature. If you are interested in improving or creating a wildlife friendly backyard, Logan City Council are providing support through their new Conservation Incentives Program: Habitat Connections. For more information on how you can be involved visit the Habitat Connections webpage.

Aligning with this year’s theme and the launch of CIP Habitat Connections, the 2019 event will feature:

  • Presentations on 'Wildlife Friendly Gardens' and 'Native Bees'

  • Displays by Native Plants Qld, the Albert Valley Wilderness Society, local wildlife groups, and more

  • Free plants (while stocks last)

  • Information about Council's new Habitat Connections program

Provided: A free BBQ Lunch.
Ages: Family friendly

This is a free event run by Logan City Council for Logan residents.
