Make a unique piece of tin art ready to hang on your Christmas tree with local artist Melinda Muscat

About this event

Add a personal touch to your Christmas tree with your own hand-crafted decorative tin art piece.

Melinda will guide you through the process of making your piece with either pre-made templates or your own individual style. Etch your design into soft tin and then glue it together, ready to hang on your tree.

All equipment and material will be supplied, including a selection of two or three colours to use.

About the facilitator

Melinda Muscat is a surrealist at heart and a local Ballarat artist. She creates artworks, objects and wearable art of an other worldly quality through the mediums of textiles, painting, and sculpture.

Organiser The Sovereign Hill Museums Association

Organiser of Christmas Tin Art Workshop

Sovereign Hill is an outdoor museum presenting the story of Australia’s fabulous goldrush. Its particular focus is the impact of the great 19th century gold discoveries on the growth of Ballarat, which was a small pastoral settlement when gold was discovered in 1851. By 1861, Ballarat had grown into a fine provincial city built on the wealth derived from its gold.

Sovereign Hill is administered by The Sovereign Hill Museums Association - a not-for-profit, community-based organisation. The Association is also responsible for the administration of the Gold Museum and the Narmbool historic pastoral property.
