Free Christmas Cooking Workshop with Love Food Hate Waste
More taste and less waste for your Christmas festivities.
The festive season is a time of celebration and entertaining with family, friends and food. The spirit of sharing can mean we end up buying and preparing too much food – much of which unfortunately ends up being thrown away.
Join our chef, Daniel Lange and the Love Food Hate Waste team for a workshop all about reducing food waste and saving you money during the festive season.
We will give you tips on best shopping practices, meal planning, portion planning, storage techniques, and delicious recipes for enteraining to make the most of the food you have, as well as Christmas leftover makeover ideas.
Why are we holding this workshop? Annually, NSW householders throw away a whopping $2.5 billion worth of food each year, most of which was edible. Food waste is a huge cost not just to your pocket but also to the environment. There are easy ways to cut down this Christmas. We'll show you how and you get to sample delicious food! Go to www.newaste.org.au to find out more about NE Waste.
