Come on a journey through time and learn about the transatlantic race that resulted in the conception and construction of two of the most illustrious ships in history: The original RMS Queen Mary and RMS Queen Elizabeth.

Join Maritime Historian Chris Frame for this image-packed lecture detailing the famed careers of these legendary ships. The presentation includes information on how they were built, their impact on Britain's recovery from the Great Depression and their service in World War II.

Chris will also trace the Queens role in the tourist boom of the 1940s and 50s as well as their eventual decline and retirement.

Featureing wonderful video of the ships being launched, as well as their entry into service. This lecture can't be missed!
