Description
A collaboration of master musicians from China and Australia.
Experience sublime music in the seclusion and harmony of the Chinese Garden during the Chinese traditional Lantern Festival. Master instrumentalists from China collaborate with local musicians to deliver an intoxicating evening of chamber music concert, set on a floating stage in the middle of the scenic pond.
Arranged by eminent Australian composer John Huie, and featuring the Beauty & Melody Orchestra from Sichuan, China, MSO principal cello, David Berlin, Deputy Concertmaster of the Australian Opera, violin, Vivien Jeffery, flute, Jane Rutter,and double bass, Hugh Fraser, the concerts will exhibit a seamless fusion of ancient Chinese traditions and modern appeal through the integration of both Eastern and Western music elements.
The concerts will incorporate “New Folk Musical Ideas” as well as the chamber music skills of the Australian virtuosos.
