Event description

Description

Even if you can't book into any of the scheduled dates, feel free to pop down to the garden and ask a garden volunteer on a saturday morning from 9.30-11.30am if you can meet our chickens for a self directed play whilst we are off playing in the garden.

You are invited to meet our friendly chickens and play in our Nest Community Garden! What a wonderful way to children and adults to learn about the importance of animals in our lives, how to be gentle with other living things and most importantly where eggs come from.

Any age is welcome, however please book one ticket per child. Parents are not required to book a ticket.

Feel free to follow us on facebook "The Nest Garden Group" and "Nest Haberdashery" to keep up to date with other children's workshops. We are also gardening most saturday mornings if you would like to just "pop" in and do a self directed visit and play as the garden volunteers are off digging in the garden.

There is a maximum of 6 participants in each workshop, to minimise the hens becoming overwhelmed. Parents are required to remain on site and will need to complete forms for medical and safety concerns.

Whilst the workshop is free of charge, bookings are essential and can be made through Eventbrite. For any questions please contact Belinda on belinda.nestgarden@gmail.com

When:
- weather permitting. Email belinda.nestgarden@gmail.com if in doubt

What to bring:
- gentle hands and a calm nature (being too loud & rough will stop the hens from laying)
- any special scraps that you would like to feed them or our compost heap or worm farm
- sunscreen and a hat recommended
