CHILDREN'S POTTERY WORKSHOP - Yorke Peninsula
Event Information
About this Event
Children's Pottery Workshop!
COME AND TRY.
Ages 5-13!
Do you have creative little fingers at home that might like to try something new?
Think your children might like to create handmade ceramics.
LIMITED SPOTS!
In this workshop your children will spend 1.5 hours learning some basic techniques of playing and making with clay!
A fun, sensory experience for children that has added calming and therapeutic benefits.
We will spend the workshop learning how to use and mould clay and then have a go at making some simple bowls or sculptures.
The session will be capped in size to ensure each student can receive one on one support.
By the end of the workshop your child will have created a handful of pieces (2+ depending on what sizes they create) and will have an opportunity to decorate the pieces with underglaze paints. Pieces will then be taken away to be bisque fired, and then finished with a clear glaze (if they choose) and fired again so the pieces are completely finished, ceramic and food & heat safe.
Finished pieces will be returned to the venue approx. a 2-3 weeks later for pick up after they've been fired.
All materials provided, but please bring along an apron if you have one and clothes that get can dirty!
ONLY $41 PER CHILD.
Bookings are limited.
