Description

Amran is a Somali-born Kiwi and is a childcare educator, mother by day and aspiring entrepreneur and author by night. When she’s not glued to her computer, Amran loves a good book and to blog about life as a young Muslim living in Australia. Amran also likes to practice the art of henna when not planning her next extreme sport adventure.

Amran’s book, The Rainbow Hijab tells the tale of a young girl who loses her favourite hijab. Will things ever be the same without her colourful companion?
Discover what the hijab is, and its importance, first-hand from a Muslim women. This book aims to bridge the gap of misunderstanding of Islamic ideologies through creative story-telling, and help to develop an understanding of one of the most misunderstood pieces of clothing.
