Child Safe Familiarisation Training- Support Services 5

The Society is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation and you are an important part of this commitment.

The Child Safe Familiarisation Training will introduce you to the Society’s Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy and Procedure. Your participation in this training helps us all to protect and support children. Because we all share the responsibility to keep kids safe, this training is compulsory for all Society personnel.

The Familiarisation Training willl cover:

• why child safe practices are important

• types and indicators of child abuse

• how to follow child safe behaviours in our work

• how to report any concerns in relation to children or young people

• where to get more information or assistance

Some people may find some of the topics challenging. We are committed to ensuring that everyone who attends the training is supported.
