The event is free to attend for everyone willing to watch Perth's best minds at a game of chess at this quirky , underground venue called GET SOME INDIA!

The entry fee for the competition is a nominal 15$ for each player. It includes snacks and of course a chance to become winner of the day and an exciting, fun prize!

RULES:

1. Players are expected to register through this link no later than 5th Feb.

2. All players must arrive at 8:45 am to the venue.

3. The competition will commence with Group Stages, with 4 people each group so every player will get a chance to play 3 games at least.

4. All games of the Group Stage will be 20 minutes long. Each player will get 10 minutes.

5. Two people from each group will make it to the next round and play against their rivals from other groups.

6. The final game would be 30 minutes long with 15 minutes each player.

7. Players are expected to manually record their moves. A template with chess notation shall be provided to each player. However, recording the moves is not a compulsory rule 🙂

BONUS: Apart from our surprise prize, the winner will also get a chance to have Simultaneous Exhibition style game with volunteers from the audience. How exciting is that!
