Chesemonger Laura Lown will educate you on all things cheese and wine at this months Cultural Food Academy! Laura has worked in the cheese industry for over seven years now, beginning her career as a cheesemonger at Paxton & Whitfield, an infamous cheese shop in London. She is a self-confessed cheese nerd who can tell you the story of any cheese from our cabinet – where it was made, how it was made, who made it and what it tastes like.

What’s included?

Popular Pairings: Cheese and Wine is a cooking and education workshop running for one-and-a-half under the guidance of experts in cheese and wine. Suitable for beginners right through to experienced cooks, each participant will have their own tasting and cooking space to follow Laura's lead. Every participant will be able to ask questions throughout the academy and take home a gift bag including recipes and apron.

Choose from three available sessions (16 spots per session) at 10am, 1pm or 3.30pm at the Fresh Food Precinct, outside Woolworths.

About SecondBite

All proceeds raised from Northland’s Cultural Food Academy will be donated to SecondBite, which provides fresh, nutritious meals to people in need within the community. Formed in 2005, SecondBite is a not-for-profit organisation committed to making a positive difference by sourcing fresh and nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste and redistributing it to community food programs. Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes, you must be aged 18 and over to enter the event and you must bring a form of ID to the session.

What payment options are available?

Online credit card payments accepted only. No cash payments will be accepted.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, however you must advise a member of Centre Management.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes.

What is the refund policy?

Please discuss by calling 03 9478 1399.

Please note no refund will be given for a cancellation within 48 hours of the event.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes, however please advise a member of Centre Management within 48 hours of the event.

Can I reserve seats?

No, seats cannot be reserved. Its first-come, first served. You can arrive 30 minutes before your event.
