Event description

Description

The Australian has described Charlotte Wood as 'one of our most original and provocative writers,' and the booksellers of Potts Point Bookshop describe her new novel The Weekend as 'the publishing event of the year.'

The Weekend explores growing old and growing up, and what happens when we're forced to uncover the lies we tell ourselves. Sharply observed and excruciatingly funny, this is a jewel of a book: a celebration of tenderness and friendship that is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Kate Evans, who presents the weekly Bookshelf radio program on ABC RN (with Cassie McCullagh) will be in conversation with Charlotte about her stunning new novel.

This event is being held at the Tusculum. Doors open at 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start. Please join us for a complimentary glass of wine before the conversation begins. Books will be available to purchase on the night, and Charlotte will be signing copies after the event.
