Changes to the NatHERS Technical Note

The NatHERS Administrator is finalising changes to the NatHERS Technical Note that will come into effect from 31 May 2019. The BDAV is pleased to offer a joint BDAV/ABSA webinar on 29 April 2019 when Sarah Bunclark from the NatHERS team will outline the changes. Her presentation will include:

1. Introduction to the NatHERS technical note and the review process;
2. Summary of changes;
3. Responses to feedback received;
4. Link between the technical note and the NatHERS Handbook;
5. Next steps.

ABOUT OUR PRESENTER

Sarah Bunclark is a Senior Policy Officer in the Residential Buildings team of the Department of the Environment and Energy. Sarah’s team works on improving energy performance and productivity of the residential building sector through the development, implementation and maintenance of Government initiatives, including the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) and 'Your Home'.

Sarah has completed a Bachelor of Architecture, including a research thesis on improving school architecture to address the physiological effects of the built environment. Sarah has held positions in environmental grant delivery and event management, and has also worked as a business development and communications officer for an architecture company specialising in energy efficiency and scientific testing. As an avid data enthusiast, she found herself engrossed in air leakage blower door analysis and thermal imaging for the company’s lead scientist. Sarah has a passion to support sustainable design and building processes to create comfortable, energy efficient homes, and to better educate the public on the importance of a buildings’ thermal performance. She resides in Canberra, and also volunteers for GIVIT.org.au to re-home quality second-hand items to those in need.

Payment Policy

All bookings (where payment applies) must be pre-paid prior to the event.

Cancellation Policy

We know that situations sometimes arise preventing you from attending. However, the BDAV does incur costs in organising these events. Those who book and do not attend will not be eligible for a refund. Registrants who book then cancel more than five days prior to the event will receive a refund of their payment, less an administrative charge of $11 per registrant. Bookings cannot be transferred to other BDAV events. Cancellation fees also apply from the processing company.
