Change management for Home Care Managers and Team Leaders
About this event
Why is change management important?
We are at a crossroads in home care. Every home care service is faced with many challenges at the moment. We also know that there are many reforms coming to home care including the Support at Home Program. A key skill needed by Home Care Managers and Team Leaders is the ability to manage these changes so as to position the organisation for the opportunities and minimise loss of market-share and other disruptions.

It includes pre-reading, case studies and extensive resources. Modules include financial management and preparing for Home Care Reforms; performance management and supervising the workforce; meeting the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory and legislative reforms and managing customer expectations.

Views of previous attendees
- "This was a great course and was put together with a wealth of knowledge. It was great to be learning form people that know the industry of Home and Community Care and have life and work experiences to share within the training, making the topic more relatable. I have taken away valuable information from the training and new ideas and understandings that I can implement in my role as Team Leader." - Louise Gale (Team Leader Client Services, MECWACARE)
- "The training has provided me with a great deal of knowledge and resources which I will be able to contribute to my everyday practices which will allow me to be the best team leader I possibly can be to my Coordination team." - Maria Panuccio (Home Care Coordinator, Helping Hand)
