Fundraising for Freedom:
Communicators leading the way to creating independent, effective NFPs

Gain insights into effective communication strategies and techniques that can generate millions of dollars for NFP organisations and increase their independence.

Our speakers are communications professionals who lead dynamic new organisations that are having a social impact and have succeeded in attracting considerable financial support to achieve their goals, or helping other NFPs find new ways to attract funding. They are:

When the Climate Commission was axed, Amanda led the creation of the independent Climate Council with Australia's biggest ever crowd-funding campaign. Find out how they raised over $1million dollars in a week. Amanda is also Chair of the Centre for Australian Progress and recognised in 2014 as one of Westpac’s 100 Women of Influence.

Lucy Perry is rule breaker and an ideas maker. She is the founding CEO of Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia in Australia and in less than three years in that role built the team and the communication strategy which raised $7M for the work of legendary Australian obstetrician Dr Catherine Hamlin. Lucy now uses her powers for writing and speaking about leadership, changing the world and creative thinking.

With 15 years international experience at marketing and creative consultancies in London, New York and Sydney, advising on communications strategy and implementing consumer engagement programs, Tom will tell us how live collective-giving events are making philanthropy accessible and fun for everyone.
