A retreat is the chance for you to leave daily responsibilities behind and experience the benefits that continuous daily practice and personal reflection bring. Taking time on a retreat is one of the most effective ways to start to grow your yoga and meditation practice.

Treat yourself to a weekend of yoga and rejuvenation at Anglesea Valley Lodge in Wensleydale (above Anglesea) approx. 1.5 hours from Melbourne. You are invited to let go of daily pressures and come immerse yourself in nature, yoga and deep relaxation.

Enjoy daily Hatha yoga classes, Deep Relaxation Yoga Nidra, Chakra cleansing Meditation (Chakra Shuddhi).

Yoga practices will be focused on clearing and stimulating the energy in the Chakras.

Chakra Shuddhi meditation combines awareness of the breath, visualisation of the chakras and mantra. It is a powerful and energising technique.

Anglesea Valley Lodge is a spacious Camp site situated approx. 1.5 hours out of Melbourne and a 45min drive from Anglesea beach. The venue has a separate carpeted conference room where will we hold Yoga and Meditation. It is fitted with a commercial kitchen, large dining area and a lounge to chill out and chat in free time.

On one side of the property is forest and the other a peaceful vista of fields.

The accommodation is with one person per room. There are some double bed rooms which will go couples on a first in best dressed basis.

There will be free time on Saturday afternoon to car pool to the sea and perhaps enjoy an insightful conversation over a cappuccino! (It’s all about balance!)

Delicious multicultural vegetarian and vegan will be lovingly prepared by our cook. Please let us know if you have other special dietary requirements. There will be gluten free options available.

Places are limited to 20 people.The investment is $280, which covers accommodation, food, daily yoga, meditation, deep relaxation and all activities throughout the retreat.

Bookings are through Eventbrite.

Refund policy: $100 deposit in non refundable. If there is a medical reason or emergency etc that you are unable to attend you may contact me.


The location is approx 54 km out of the city, 35 -50 out of the CBD. If you have any trouble organising transport you can let us know and we can help organise some car-pooling.

8- 9pm Anapana and Chakra Shuddhi Meditation on the third eye, base and sacral chakras


Please observe the spiritual practice of Mouna, silence, between 10pm-7am

Saturday 14th March

6-7am Silent Meditation (optional)

7-8.30 Morning Yoga and Pranayama

10.30-11 Talk on Yoga Philosophy and Psychology

11-12 Group Kitchen Karma Yoga

12pm Lunch

1-3.30pm Free time, walk, read, rest

3.30pm Chakra Shuddhi Meditation on the naval and heart chakras

4.30pm Yoga and Yoga Nidra

6.00 pm Dinner

7-pm Havan Healing Mantra Fire Ceremony

Please bring a snack to share for communal tea time such as nuts/dried fruit/ home baked goodies. You could also bring a pack of your favourite herbal tea to share. Please avoid plastic packaging.

About Shuddhachittam

Shuddha teaches Traditional Hatha Yoga, guiding students to witness the body, breath and thoughts, creating mindfulness through Yoga. She believes that mind and body healing can be experienced through the traditional Yoga postures, bestowing benefits to the practitioner by holding the poses and repetition. Shuddha also has an ardent interest in alignment in her classes and regularly attends Iyengar classes to deepen her experience of postural awareness.

Shuddha’s interest in spirituality started from a young age when she practiced meditation with the desire to astrally project and see auras… unfortunately she didn’t succeed at that time! She has travelled to India 8 times and has attended various courses in the Tantric traditional practices of Chakra Shuddhi, Prana Vidya, Tattwa Shuddhi, Puja, Havan and Yajnas.

Shuddha started practicing Yoga when she was 14 years old at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Perth. 9 years later she completed her first teacher training and started teaching in 2005. Shuddha has completed over 1900 hrs of Yoga teacher training and lived as a Yoga Monk (Sannyasin) at the Bihar School of Yoga from 2011-2013. She has her own daily practice of Yoga and Meditation and frequently attends Vipassana meditation silent retreats to deepen her practice. Meditation is one of the main passions in her life as it has helped her to gain greater insight into herself and the tools to help maintain emotional equilibrium through the ups and downs that life offers.

Shuddha is also a qualified Hypnotherapist, Theta Healer and Ayurvedic Consultant and Massage therapist.

Shuddha has been traveling in India and Nepal and is coming back to Melbourne for a short visit to teach her lovely students. In she has been studying Vedanta, Tibetan Buddhism, Hatha Yoga and Life!
