Event Details

Struggling to land an interview? Wondering why you never get that call back? Want to improve you chances of securing work? We're here to help! This event is a fantastic opportunity to form and reinforce good habits and sharpen real-world skills which are an essential base of how you will conduct yourself in the professional environment.

Kicking off at 5.30pm, the Industry Up-Skilling Workshop will feature a one hour session hosted by Troy Dobinson from QUT Careers which will target types of job interviews you are likely to face when making the transition from university into your professional career. This workshop will focus on many forms of interviews including face-to-face, phone, and skype/video interviews along with other role-playing activities to drive the information home.

A presentation by Martin Evans from Real World Placement Program will follow the workshop and will be featuring his perspective on the current state of the industry. Presentations will be running until 7.10pm and will be concluded by a Question and Answer session, refreshments and a brief session for students to further network with the presenters and eachother.

This event is free to all current CESS members, and $5 for non-members.
