“Since its introduction in 1976, the Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement (CESMM) has proved to be extremely resilient in meeting the needs of those engaged in preparing contracts based on traditional ‘measure and value’ principles.”

With the withdrawal of the NZS 4224:1983 civil engineering measurement standard the New Zealand civil engineering and construction industry requires a robust measurement method for the standardisation of schedules of quantities, management and contract administration of civil engineering projects.

This course will introduce the principles and uses of CESMM4 across the contract execution phase of the project.

The course will familiarise attendees with the standard elements and processes to successfully utilise this method of measurement for the administration of common Contract situations utilising the Bill of Quantities.
