Settimana della cucina italiana nel mondo
The Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the first Settimana della Cucina Italiana del Mondo that will take place between the 21st and 27th November in 130 countries around the world and thousands of government and community organisations, with the purpose of promoting Italy’s most renowned export in the world: The Extraordinary Italian Taste!
For this occasion the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney has secured the collaboration ofGabriele Taddeucci, Head Chef at Osteria Balla Manfredi, and well-known food journalistJoanna Savill.
The event will include:
- An interactive seminar led by Gabriele Taddeucci and commented by Joanna Savill which will focus on the hot topic of products made in Italy using authentic Italian products that are essential to maintaining the extraordinary Italian taste: tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano, pasta, rice, olive oil, and the list goes on. Whilst local first-rate produce is very important, the import of Italian products in the world is fundamental, because they simply cannot be replicated.
- A practical cooking workshop to prepare a hot dish and a cold dish – simple recipes that are easy to make, take little time, but are rich in taste, tradition and are prepared with authentic high quality products.
At the end of the evening there will be space for questions, exchange of ideas, and most importantly, time to taste the scrumptious food prepared by our Head Chef.
We look forward to your visit for an exceptional time to share our culture and enjoy its age-old and internationally renowned culinary tradition.
