Event description

Description

RMIT proudly supports marriage equality and celebrates the diversity and individuality of all staff and students.

As the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey progresses, RMIT recognises the impact this debate has on staff and students who identify as members of the diverse genders, sexes and sexualities (DGSS) community.

We invite you to join us to explore how we can all support the health and wellbeing of DGSS staff during this time, and ensure that DGSS students feel safe and supported at RMIT.

This event is for DGSS staff, RMIT Allies and RMIT staff who would like to learn more about how to be supportive to DGSS staff and students during the postal survey, and how to be an active RMIT Ally afterward.

During this time, we understand that those who identify as LGBTIQ+ are at a higher risk of experiencing stress.

If you are a DGSS staff member, join us to gain support and identify further what RMIT can do to live our value of inclusion.

If you are an RMIT Ally or staff member looking to learn more, join us to find out what we can do to support our colleagues, students and friends during the postal survey.

This event will be facilitated by Daniel Witthaus of ThatsSoGay.com.au. Morning tea will be provided.

We hope to see you there!
