Event description

Description

Council and the Human Sound Project will host a fun event where local people with disability will gather to create music and a song unique to their experiences. An event where music and song will be used to create a film that portrays local people with a disability in a positive light, showcasing their talents, contributions and capabilities.

Council is looking for 2 participants who would like to stay back after the workshop to participate in a short interview. These interviews will be about 5 minutes long and will ask a series of questions that will be included in the final video to overcome any misunderstandings or stigma that may be present in the wider community.

Important Information:

- The Human Sound Project will film the entire event to help Council make a short video.
- Your attendance means you agree to being filmed and give permission for Council and the Human Sound Project to use any videos or photos of you for publicity or promotional purposes.
- You must bring a signed Photography and Filming Permission Form. with you.
- All participants must be 18 years or older.

Accessibility:

- Merrylands Park Function Hall is wheelchair accessible.
- There are accessible toilet facilities and accessible parking.
- There will be a Quiet Zone equipped with noise blocking headphones, weighted blankets and quiet activities for anyone who needs a break.
- Personal hearing loops are available upon request.

Please advise Council of any other access or dietary requirements when you book.

Important: All participants must have signed a Photography and Filming Permission Form. Please ensure you complete this and bring it along with you on the day.
