Event description

Description

Don’t miss this exciting professional development workshop, focussing on cutting edge comminution, processing and ‘new gen’ energy options to enhance the energy efficiency, value and productivity of your site.

Comminution is a major cost and energy consumer, using up to 3% of global generated electric power*. In Australia alone, copper and gold mines’ comminution processes account for 1.3% of national electricity consumption^, as well as being key constraints to site productivity, value and mining footprint.

In this full day event, held following the Copper to the World Conference, mining company senior leaders, globally recognised researchers and METS experts will share:

  • site improvement opportunities, case studies and best practice
  • newly employed technologies and emerging advances from around the world
  • ‘new gen’ energy options to optimise mine and plant operations.

Participants are invited to bring along plant data and try out CEEC’s free Energy Curves Program to benchmark the comminution energy efficiency of your site and explore the impacts of different operational scenarios.

Other interactive activities include group and panel-led discussions to share case studies, knowledge and insights with peers, leaders and experts from across the mining and minerals processing industry.

Plus, there will be plenty of time for networking with new and existing contacts, as well as the opportunity to taste wines from South Australia’s leading producers.

Discounts are available for students, start-up METS companies and sponsors. Contact comms@ceecthefuture.org for details.
